FEM Calculation/Simulation

Perfection – economic success!

Simulation processes are becoming more & more important in the run-up towards tool design.

In the course of this early phase where problems with the end product tend to arise, these can be minimized without the threat of additional costs. Production delays and cost-intensive changes in tool creation can therefore be avoided. At an early phase in the project, individual decisions can be made for each product, whereby simulation i.e. calculation presents added value.

Among others, the following possibilities are available at present:

  • Loading calculation
  • Simulation of filling behaviour with identification of binding seams and air inclusions
  • Simulation of component part warping behaviour

One option: initial viewing or functioning samples can be produced via rapid-prototyping processes such as 3D-print, laser-sintering etc. in no time at all.

Construction of the tools and further periphery preparations begin only after evaluation and clearance of the calculation & simulation results and inspection of representative samples, where present.

A direct reduction in costs and sources of error is directly related to the intermediate phase with calculation and/or simulation.
